Thank you to all those that are a part of our Families in Needs program!! We are truly thankful for those that adopted a child, children, and/or a family. Also a HUGE thank you to all those that donated monetarily!!! Thank you to Mac's Moving and Storage for donating all the boxes for us to pack these holiday clothing needs!! Today, volunteers from the Brookwood PTO came in and helped us organize and box up all the items and next week a teacher volunteer has volunteered to wrap all the boxes as well….thank you, thank you….thank YOU!! We are truly thankful for our Brookwood Family!!! We are still taking monetary donations for this program. The Middle School Forensics Program is gearing up. Our competitions and most of our practices take place during January. It is not too late to join! There are lots of cool events: individual, group, some with tech, and even some with music. Students can see Ms. Bullock, or come to the meeting after school on Monday, December 11th, 2:45 - 4:00.

Thank you to all students and staff for helping to make our first BMS Student Council event successful last week. The 4th and 5th graders had a blast during their Glow Fun Night with flashlight tag, snacks, and lots of running around. The 6, 7, and 8th graders showed off some pretty trendy dance moves during the many dance-off competitions at their Light up the Night Dance. Over 130 kids attended the events. It's a great time to be a student leader! Next week, the Student Council will be selling Candy Canes for Kindness for $.50 and the Leadership students helped organized the Empty Bowls Event coming up on the 14th of December. We hope to see you there!

3rd grade classes have been traveling internationally with their passports! Students have been learning about the countries they "visit" and the winter sport that originated there. Students also enjoyed fun STEAM excursions while visiting those countries, like table hockey when they were in Canada.

BMS Winter Concert: Bands & Choir // 12/13 @BMS 6:30pm

Grade 4 will hold an Early Wisconsin Gathering because they're study Wisconsin history during this year. They will play games and experience 1800’s activities, listen to Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House in the Big Woods, and sample food harvested in WI. 4K & 5K Winter Concert @ BES @ 5:30 // 12/5

Recently, 2nd and 3rd graders hiked down to the park for science. Both grades are studying water and collected data such as water temperature and depth in various parts of the creek to compare with the same location in spring, as well as the forest and prairie that they will be exploring at a later date! By the way, the water temperature was 38 degrees!

Mrs. Cassaday's class is our November BES Be Brookwood Class of the Month! These 1st graders earned this nomination for being kind, safe, and responsible during an all-school assembly. Each student is a rockstar and deserves to be recognized for their awesome work! So proud! At the elementary school, teachers can nominate classes for "Being Brookwood". At the end of each month, one class is chosen and awarded for their spectacular work at school.

Exciting news! The girls basketball team made the playoffs!!! We will play on Monday, December 4th. Our game is AT Yorkville at 5pm. Come cheer on your Mustangs! 🏀🏀🏀

The December 4K Outreach Activity is a fun one!! Create your own car for a drive-in movie!! There will not be regular programming this day for our 4K students. If you have additional questions, please contact your child's 4K teacher. Event: Dec 20 // 1pm
