4th-7th Grade Awards on 6/2 at BMS Gymnasium with picnic to follow!
What a GREAT night to be a Mustang!! Thanks for all that made tonight possible —-PTO, volunteers, staff, students, parents and our community!!! We had a variety of communtiy groups volunteer like the Genoa City Lions Club and Friends of the Library. Thank you…thank you….thank YOU!
4th grade had a blast at Old World Wisconsin today on their class field trip!! Make sure to ask your 4th grader what their favorite part of the day was.
In 7th and 8th grade Literacy Enrichment, each student submitted at least one haiku or other form of poetry to be published in the 2023 edition of the Young American Poetry Digest. Several students had their poems selected for the book and their poems will be published in the fall. Congrats to Kaylee, Remi, Ben, Callie, Anais, Jillian, Natalie, Peyton, Kate, Diego, Khalil, Audrey, Sophia, Emily, Alyvia, Gavin, and Bailey!
At last night's school board meeting, the school board surprised Mr. Braden with this year's "Children's First Award!"
Nominees for this special Board award have made a positive impact on multiple children within the district, either over time or through a single project. Congrats, Mr. Braden and thank you for all you do for the kids of our district!
At last night's school board meeting, students along with Mrs. Horak and Mrs. Garrett hosted a little mini art show for our parents, Board members, and administration. These students were chosen to move on to be showcased at the Walworth County Arts Exhibition which got cancelled. We are proud to be able to have our students showcase their Greatness at our school board meeting. Way to go, Mustangs---way to make us #MustangProud

Who's excited for Fun Fair? Fun Fair starts at 5 pm at Brookwood Middle School this Friday, May 19th. Didn't pre-order wristbands? That's ok! Walk-up wristbands can be purchased for $15 at the event. Tickets can also be purchased for $1 to attempt to dunk your favorite staff member. Please see the schedule below.

7th and 8th Grade Jazz Band students field trip on May 24! The bus leaves from BMS at at 5:20! If you have questions or need more information please contact Mrs. Collins at Kathy.Collins@gcj2.k12.wi.us
This Friday, our 3rd graders will be venturing up to the middle school to work alongside the 4th graders for the day! Students will come to the middle school from 9:30am to 12:00pm. They will engage in a series of culture building activities, work together in classrooms, and once again eat lunch and go to recess with the current 4th graders. Making sure our Mustangs have a smooth transition from 3rd to 4th grade is a HUGE priority. Getting the lay of the land and building relationships early on is key to making this happen. We are so excited to welcome them into our BMS community!
Mark your calendars for the BMS Art Show next Thursday, May 18th beginning at 5:30. Seventh grade students are practicing their face painting skills for our face paint table! After the art show, stay for the spring concert or come early to visit the art show before listening to the spring concert!! There will also be appetizers and a coloring station, hope to see you there!
BMS student council dress up days have been a blast so far! We hope to see you in your best super hero vs. villain attire tomorrow.
HUGE thank you to the Brookwood Family Organization —-PTO for the festive decorations and set up this morning to kick off Teacher Apprecaition Week. Thank you to all the families that donated and brought in treats for us today!!! We truly do have the best staff in the Midwest!!!
